For my beloved Mom, who radiates beautiful light and has helped shape me into the person I am today.
Dragonfly Peaceful Warrioress
Adventures, both bright and dark
You have gone on.
Battles fought with love instead of fear
You have triumphed,
With a brandished sword of truth
And arrows of hope.
You fly with wings of a dragonfly,
Bringing light and joy on your swift travels,
Harmony, strength, and beauty.
You are a peaceful warrioress.
Who are the beloved people in your life and how have they shaped you? What are your gifts, your strengths, your weaknesses? Often our greatest weakness is also our greatesss strength.
I really loved the image of the warrior princess. Your mum is a lucky lady. This reminds me of a poem my mum gave me recently. Id written it when I was about 12 and she found it in a pile of old documents. It was about mums. You’ve inspired me to post it up! Cheers.
Isn’t it such a lovely surprise to come across things we wrote years ago? A trip back in time. I shall head over and read that poem of yours!
This is beautiful, thanks for sharing.
Thank you
What a beautiful poem… It’s so vividly fantastical and still so human at the same time.
Thank you! It is one of those creations that happened in that in between realm we were talking about.
Lovely poem! ……more so because it’s dedicated to your mom.
I think my mom is one of the more admireable person in my life. Looking back, I realize how much she sacrificed to me and my family, and how unconditional her love is.
I think being a Mom must be the most challenging, rewarding ‘career’ in the world.
What a lovely tribute to your mom! She’s one lucky lady to have you acknowledge her in such a beautiful poem! I am indebted to my parents, too, for how they have raised me. I never remember either of them sitting me or my siblings down and telling us what is right from wrong. I think we got it from their actions…
I appreciate your words, Hema
That is the best way to learn…by observing through how they live.
A beautiful poem. Your mother must be very proud
My mom shaped me very much as well. And my dad. I really was blessed with two fantastic parents.
Thank you, Miss Rosemary
My Mom was rather thrilled about this poem. She printed lots of copies and hung them in random places, haha.
Such a true blessing, indeed!
Lovely. That’s all I have to say about that.
Such a beautiful, loving tribute. Lovely indeed.
A lovely tribute. Often our greatest weaknesses really are our greatest, wise thought!
